CATIS Partners

ISF Mexico is the community host of this partnership. Their
mission is to work with impoverished communities in both
rural and urban zones to increase standards of living
through the development of basic and environmental
services that promote the sustainable development of
those communities. In the development of these
projects, ISF Mexico utilizes its network of professors,
national and international students, communities and
volunteers to promote ethical, environmental values and
social solidarity. ISF Mexico envisions a country
and world where everyone has access to basic services
such as potable water, sanitation, solid waste
management, homes and electricity provided with
fairness, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability.
Centered in Tampico, Mexico at the University of
Tamaulipas, ISF Mexico has created a two year plan
to start 6 to 8 new ISF chapters at universities
throughout the country. This Federation of
Independent Chapters, while autonomous, will work
together and leverage their resources to promote the
shared mission and vision of ISF Mexico.

ISF Mexico's expertise will create courses
and trainings relating to hydrology and water use and
management, sustainable sanitation practices, river
basin management and modeling, irrigation techniques,
climate change (with its partner at Centro de Ciencias
de Atmosofera in Mexico City), social sciences, legal
systems with regards to natural resources, renewable
energy and non-conventional water supply and sanitation.
